Nail surgery

Ingrown toenails can be very painful. They are commonly caused by incorrect cutting of the nail, previous trauma, hereditary ingrown nails, incorrect footwear and more.

It is highly recommended to see a podiatrist as soon as possible when you develop an ingrown toenail. If seen to early enough, surgery can be avoided and the ingrown toenail can be managed conservatively.

Ingrown toenails can put you at risk of developing an unwanted infection if left alone. Antibiotics are a great way of managing th infection, however, it does not cure it completely as the sharp shard of nail is still digging into the flesh, causing issues.

Ingrown toenail surgery is a long lasting treatment option for ingrown toenail sufferers. Local anaesthetic is administered so it is relatively painless throughout surgery.

*Nail surgeries are booked after an initial assessment with the podiatrist.
